I bought this car audio system for my husband for our first anniversary, because it's what he asked for---knowing ZIP about car stereo systems! Pioneer is the best
Pioneer has made a great upgrade over the DEH-1200MP with this new one DEH-1300MP. Looks wise it beats the DEH-1200MP hands down. Installed this without any problems and with the Loud feature in this receiver set to high the factory installed speakers are sounding just fantastic. This is the best budget receiver you can get and its Pioneer which stands for its quality. Hope it helps.

Great Radio
I was looking for a basic radio/CD to replace the original. This Pioneer DEH1300 is great. The features are what I expected, had a clock, and the CD works! I wanted to install it myself to save some money and it was relatively straightforward to install. Only additional expense was the wire harness and the faceplate for my car. Excellent price. I'd rather green highlights, rather than the red, but I can't argue the price.

Replaced a factory stereo in 97 Accord - Worked well
I purchased this kit to install a JVC KD-R200 in my 97 Accord 4dr Special Edition. This was to replace the OEM CD/AM/FM stereo. The kit provided instructions which I supplemented with a bit of research on the internet to remove the old stereo. The instructions for installation were straightforward and easy to use. The kit provided a reasonably sturdy installation. It is nowhere near as rock solid as the OEM stereo was, but very acceptable.I paired this with a "Metra 70-1720 Radio Wiring Harness For Honda/Acura 86-98 Power 4 Speaker" to get a clean installation which required me to cut none of the cars wiring. The install took less than 90 minutes and was my first time ever trying it.I would recommend this kit to retain the original look of the dash and allow you to install without altering the original vehicle dash in any way.

Pleasantly surprised!
I must say I was pleasantly surprised by how well this product works.I have an 07 Accord so it was a bit of a PITA figuring out how to get to the radio antenna in the dash. If you google around for your car and "remove radio" you will undoubtedly find directions for accessing it. That was the most difficult part and it only took me about 30 minutes from start to finish.I recently got the Starmate 4 for my car. I had one of the old original Audiovox units from when Sirius was first starting up. It was huge, bulky, I had lost the mount for it, and it got VERY hot when in operation. Almost so hot that you couldn't touch it. Hence I decided to upgrade to a newer model. When I received and installed the Starmate I was surprised to see that the built-in FM modulator was horrible. And when I connected the FM antenna extender it came with, it made the sound WORSE. The static made it almost unlistenable through my radio. I googled around and found that the FCC...

Sirius FMDA25 Wired FM Relay Adapter
Great product. I had major troubles with radio station interference when using the Sirius radio without this product. Once installed it disconnects the external antenna and eliminates the interference problems. When your Sirius radio is turned off, your external antenna works normally.I highly recommend this product if you can't use a direct connection from your Sirius radio to your car radio.

It works great, once I figured out how it really works.
I bought this because I have my Siruis hooked up to my motorcycle and I do a LOT of riding.I am the type of rider who takes off not knowing where I am going, only when I need to be home, I am constantly in search of that road I have never been down so I never know where I will end up, and it was a real pain trying to find clear stations that would last for a few hundred miles,let alone the whole day.I thought I would give this a try and installed it before a run to DC and I was very disappointed it did not work.I have been working with, and hooking up electronics for over 40 years, so I checked and rechecked ever thing I could think of, and the only thing I could not check was the plug in the cradle that the receiver was in so I put the bike back together and saved it for another time, when I had more time and a different cradle.Well that time came about a month later.I hooked up the new cradle, all the wires turned the FM transmitter off in the receiver...

For those short on cash, but still care about how it sounds
These are among the least expensive speakers I have purchased, and are a great bang for the buck. I currently have them installed in an FJ40 (no interior sound deadening materials whatsoever) in 6x9 boxes, connected to a Kicker 08ZX100.2 amp @ 50watts x 2. The sound quality is great for no sub. I do not like to advertise that I have aftermarket sound equipment in the vehicle, so I did not really want explosive, loud bass. These sound tight and sharp. I may add a subwoofer later , but at this time I am very happy with the rich vocals and clear highs these produce. Granted, they are not up there with Focal Audio, or even Kenwood Excelon's, but for $50-$70, you really get your money's worth out of them. I will post an updated review at a later time if the foam surrounds wear out sooner than expected. Normally, I only get butyl rubber surrounds, but at the price, I will not complain.Other speakers I currently have are:Kenwood KFC-1662s - cheap and easy to find. Stock...

Tough as Nails and Good Sound
I prefer paper woofers any time of the day. Paper woofers sound very natural and have a very nice mid range boom to them. Factory car speakers are ussually made out of paper, and they highlight mid range vocals very well. To those with less audio experience you won't notice the difference between paper woofers and mylar or poly woofer cones, but I can tell the different immedietely. I was worried about these speakers, since my dodge neon had paper cone speakers and paper tweeters that sounded amazing. However, the Dodge Neon speakers were paper and were ruined because of moisture. That is why paper doesn't work good for cone material with automotive use, since there is always moisture in a car.These Rockford Fosgate 6" x 9"s have a slightly mechanical sound, as do all of the plastic cone woofers. There is less mid range, tight bass, and very high highs. I do miss the mid range sound, but with a little adjusting on an EQ, you can get the sound back. The only mark against...

Self Installed MKi9200
I finally installed a hard wired bluetooth hands free system in my car after using an earpiece for months/years. The MKi9200 is OUTSTANDING; I wish I had installed one a long time ago. The installation for my 2006 Trailblazer required a wiring harness from one of the Parrot vendors listed on their website which costs an extra $75. Regardless, the voice recognition feature is perfect and the radio mute feature works seamlessly with my factory stereo. The calls are crystal clear and everyone can hear me without any difficulties. I found the installation fairly easy and would recommend this product to anyone who is tired of charging, turning on/off, and finding, your blue tooth ear piece.

Need bluetooth, like mp3s, no aux jack, look no further!!
This is a very capable bluetooth system. Parrot has made a great product. If self-installing, it is strongly recommend that you utilize the harness recommended by the manufacturer on their website. This could have been a complicated install, but it was actually plug and play. The mki9200 was installed in a 2005 Honda Accord Hybrid with Navigation. Many diagnostic functions of the car are inextricably integrated with the NAV/stereo system, so I was definitely not going to take out the NAV. Furthermore, the Navigation/stereo work great. The problem that needed to be solved was getting a way to play mp3 without using an FM transmitter (FM transmitters are notorious for horrible sound/interference, etc.) and getting bluetooth in this vehicle without replacing the NAV/stereo system. This is where the Parrot Mki9200 answered all these needs. The hardest part of the install was getting to the back of the nav/stereo system, once there, unplugged the nav/stereo, plugged the harness...

Fantastic solution
This unit reminds me of an apple product at its best -- it does exactly what it is supposed to do, elegantly and intuitively.About a year ago, I installed a USA-Spec solution to play my i-pod through my factory stereo. It had taken a while to find a hard-wired ipod solution which allowed continued use of satellite radio, which was very important. The USA-Spec did the job, but with a number of significant limitations. First, while it displayed track information through the factory stereo display, the limitations of that display (a single line of text) made it less than ideal. Second, I found the control of the ipod through the factory stereo awkward -- it was hard to scroll through artists, albums, tracks, etc., due to frequent lags in loading the information and automatically selecting the displayed menu selection after a few seconds.
